What’s cool about the Purple Tang?

The Purple Tang is blue to purple in color with a yellow tail and yellow accents on the pectoral fins. It is a beautiful addition to the saltwater aquarium due its distinctive color. the Purple Tang will fade in color if it is not fed seaweed. Keep a aquarium 55 gallons or larger as the Purple tang can grow to be 10 inches.

What are the best aquarium conditions for the Purple Tang?

Keep the temperature between sg  72-78° F,  alkalinity between 8-12,  and pH range from 8.1-8.4

What does a Purple tang eat?

Purple Tangs will eat meaty foods along with the other fish in the aquarium, however remember to offered plenty of marine-based seaweed and algae.
